Job Overview (What You’ll Do):
Cotopaxi is seeking a consumer-focused, passionate, and data-driven Site Merchandising Manager to elevate the way customers experience our product assortment online. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth across our eCommerce channel through strategic merchandising, site enhancements, product marketing, assortment optimization, and inventory management. In partnership with our Conversion Rate Optimization, Engineering, and Creative teams, they will shape new site experiences and enhancements that support key products and marketing stories.

They’ll report to the Vice President of eCommerce, and play a key part in driving profitable growth by combining consumer insights with a passion for product.
Job Responsibilities (How You’ll Do It):
- Lead Cotopaxi’s visual site merchandising strategy, using performance metrics, customer behavior, and sales data to inform decisions.
- Collaborate with Product Merchandising to translate seasonal strategies into compelling, conversion-focused digital experiences.
- Continuously monitor site behavior to identify and act on opportunities to improve product presentation across PDPs, PLPs, the homepage, and navigation.
- Utilize tools like heatmaps and funnel analysis to understand user behavior and friction points, and drive actionable insights.
- Own the end-to-end product discovery and shopping experience, identifying and implementing new features in partnership with development teams.
- Manage the site content calendar and asset execution, from briefing creative teams to launching on-site content.
- Partner with the Associate Director of Conversion Rate Optimization to launch ongoing A/B tests focused on product discovery, engagement, and conversion.
- Oversee the eCommerce Merchandising Coordinator in executing seasonal product setup, working cross-functionally with planning, brand, and GTM teams.
- Produce and present regular sales and merchandising performance reports, highlighting key KPIs, trends, and strategic opportunities.
- Stay current with eCommerce trends and merchandising best practices, using market research to inform future enhancements and roadmap planning.
The Ideal Candidate (What You Need to Succeed):
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Merchandising, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of merchandising experience, preferably in a direct-to-consumer (DTC) environment.
- Apparel industry experience strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with eCommerce platforms; Shopify experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Outlook, Word, and Excel (advanced Excel skills preferred).
- Strong quantitative skills with the ability to interpret and act on complex data sets.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate across teams and stakeholders
- Strong project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
